Keeper of the Lake lands

30x30cm Acrylic on canvas 2023 Contrary to what is written on human maps, the true masters of the Lake District have always been the Water Dragons. True, not everyone knows of their existence, because unlike many of their relatives, Water Dragons do not seek to attract attention with the bright colors of their glittering scales. Their greenish, algae-covered skins reliably conceal them from prying eyes, allowing them to slumber peacefully on the seabed near the shore or swim alongside the fish without disturbing them. Silent and solitude-loving, they nevertheless always bring prosperity to the waters and lands where their domain extends.
