Big Little World
38x38cm Wood, acrylic 2019 A girl sleeps, trapped in a blade of grass, so tiny that the plant's fibers appear enormous in comparison. She is forever connected to the system that created her and feels insignificant, despite being an essential part of a larger organism. Observing eyes guard her sleep. Whether this fragile ecosystem will remain in balance is unknown, but I wanted to capture her at a moment of supreme harmony and unity.
